Optimus Prime is a virtual name taken from the franchise “Transformers”. He is the central character and inspirational leader of the “band of Autobots” from the planet Cybertron. After his ship crashed on Earth, he remained in hibernation for millions of years, then an earthquake on Tuesday, May 8, 1984, awoke the ship’s repair system, which then repaired him and adapted him to have the ability to transform to an Earth vehicle. The Autobots fight their battles against the evil arch rivals – Decepticons. Optimus Prime is portrayed as a gallant, courageous and forbearing character who puts all his abilities to use to improve the environment around him. Optimus has a strong sense of justice and righteousness, and has committed himself to the preservation of all life, especially the humans of Earth; he will battle his foes with unyielding resolve.

Bumblebee is one of the many fictional characters from the same “Transformers” franchise. In all manifestation, Bumblebee is a minute, yellow Autobot with the alternate appearance of a Volkswagen Beetle. Bumblebee is the “little brother” of the Autobot team, constantly driving to standout among the stronger and bigger robots that he admires – especially his leader, Optimus Prime. So strong is this respect toward others, he endangers himself to prove himself. Although a bit mischievous, he is a capable and dependable messenger and spy, his petite build allows him to venture on missions that his larger compatriots cannot. Being highly fuel efficient and has acute visual abilities, he is especially well-suited to undersea environments. He was later reconstructed in a stronger, more mature form as Goldbug.

Megatron is a yet another fictious character from the “Transformers” franchise, created by toy companies Hasbro and Takara. While Optimus Prime plays the protagonist, he plays the opposite antagonist and leader of the “evil” Decepticons. Megatron is very powerful and utterly cold-blooded. His majestic robot form is dominated by his primary weapon – his arm-mounted fusion cannon, capable of annihilate an entire metropolis in a single blast. He can also sub-dimensionally link the weapon to a black hole, generating even more powerful antimatter blasts (capable of destroying a small planetary body). However, this ability is almost never used, as it leaves him extremely weak and vulnerable. There have been several interpretations of his character; on one view, Megatron is a strategic leader who commands from afar, whilst others see him as a tactical battlefield commander who leads remorselessly. Unlike many other villains in popular fiction, Megatron was not generally depicted as overly chaotic or insane (at first). He was highly hostile and an egocentric, but there was usually a consistent rationale behind his actions and he is the only one who perceives it.
