It is the time of year again to get your creative juice flowing – Halloween. The Candy Corn costume is the all time favorite costume among children, teens and even adults. The bright orange color of the costume brings out the festive mode and relates well to the event. You can never go wrong with this costume. If you have the time and fancy on doing it yourself, why not homemade a Candy Corn costume for your children or yourself. It is cheap and creates a lot of fun during the process with you and the kids.

1. Main wear. Look for bright flashy orange objects that can be used to wrap around the body. This might be a towel or a ragged T-shirt or a bunch of feathers. Decorate the exterior with accessories that is orange in nature, for example, carton boxes with illustrations of the same colored fruit. Or it could be scraps of cloth from the closet that was collected from the neighborhood. One man’s garbage can be another man’s prize.

2. Headgear. Simply made from a cardboard cone, painted in bright orange. Nothing too fancy.

3. Accessories. A visit to a second hand store can get you a pair of gloves, socks or socking and matching shoes at rock bottom price. Complete the costume with a broom or a basket – common household items.

The key point is having fun throughout the process. Starting from sourcing for the materials and coming out with creative ideas of adhering the accessories on the attire.
